Josh Dickinson accounted for all the scoring as No. 5 Clarkson beat RPI, 2-0, in the opening game of the Friendship Four men's hockey tournament in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The tournament, in its third year, is billed as a way sports can "celebrate the Boston/Belfast sister city agreement." Dickinson knocked in a rebound off the end wall for his first goal late in the first period. Despite being outshot 34-22 in the game — 25-9 through the first two periods — the Engineers still trailed by only a goal until Dickinson scored at 17:28 of the third period. Dickinson carried the puck up the ice along the right wing before cutting to the net and beating fellow freshman Linden Marshall for his eighth goal.
