Athlete of the Year: Izzy Lynch, Sr., Niskayuna In the final game of her illustrious high school career at Niskayuna, Izzy Lynch didn't score. But that hardly tells the whole story of a remarkable season that warranted a second consecutive Athlete of the Year nod by the Times Union for large-school girls' soccer. Lynch still was the catalyst of a team that came up one win shy of its third consecutive Class AA championship. She had 15 goals and nine assists, and the UConn commit even posted a pair of goals in a 2-1 win against defensively sound Bethlehem in the semifinals.
