Cambridge Seventeen straight victories, including a Class D state championship, afforded the Cambridge football team a level of confidence its Week 5 tussle against rival Greenwich. The Indians had perhaps a bit too much confidence that day. That, coupled with a series of in-game injuries and an incredible performance by the Witches, led to a 43-38 home loss for Cambridge. When Cambridge met Greenwich in the Section II Class D Super Bowl, the team wanted to avenge that loss and did so in impressive fashion with a 40-7 triumph. The Indians have found their way back to the state championship game Friday. There waits a familiar foe with an understandable objective: revenge.
