The words were uttered by Burnt Hills cross country coach Chip Button following his team's win in Saturday's Federation championship, though the sentiment was on the minds of many in the preseason for the Spartans. Running with high expectations this year, Burnt Hills repeated as state Class B champs last week and in its 20th attempt, won the Federation crown Saturday on the 5k course at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, improving on its 2016 second-place finish.
